About the Builder

Jody Roberts was raised in the construction business.  As a young boy, he would frequent job sites with his dad and uncles.  As a teenager, he began working for his father, who was a commercial subcontractor and then a superintendent for a large construction company.  Jody was salutatorian of his high school class and attended college until deciding at the young age of twenty-two, to venture out on his own and start his own business.  

Commercial projects and residential remodels and additions kept Jody's new company busy.  Then, in 1999, he became the general contractor on his first newly constructed custom home.  He and Rona, his wife of twenty years, and their three children still call it home today.  The building of that home sparked a new wave of residential building for Jody and led him to incorporate his business in the year 2002.  In 2004, he was certified by the Residential Construction Commission as a registered builder for the state of Texas.  Today, just ten years later, Jody Roberts Construction, Inc. has built many new custom homes and performed a countless number of home improvements, remodels and additions.  J.R. Construction, the commercial branch of the company, continues to contract commercial projects ranging from new construction to remodels and interior finish-outs.  He has performed work for well known businesses such as NCTC, Discount Tire, McDonald's, Babes Restaurant, Claire's, and Icing .. just to name a few.  The newest line of work for Jody Roberts Construction, Inc. is constructing outdoor living areas.  Swimming pools, patios, porches, outdoor kitchens...you dream it...Jody will help you design it and build it.

Jody is very meticulous at his work and holds all of his subcontractors to a higher standard than most in the industry.  Jody Roberts Construction has the personal touch of a smaller business that knows the value of the individual customer.  It is a family-run, christian based, construction business that aims to please.  Our goal is to provide you not only with a quality, custom project, but with an over-all positive building experience.
